Many years ago I was given my first Snow Village collection piece. The Church was the first, then the Mansion, and then the houses.
Along the way, I added the Walton 5$10, then my husband got in on the interest of adding his Harley Davidson pieces. . They look so comforting when the lights are turned on. Making it look like a lit up little downtown.
I also have a Santa collection that was started by family. My prized favorites is the hand-carved Santa’s, done by my Uncle Ray. I was given a hand painted one, along with a Santa done in a natural finish. He has done many carvings. Even the wooden goose I posted on my last blog. Uncle Ray carved the large goose from old railroad ties, or old boards from an old building from downtown Rogers.
My last thing to share, is the old wooden reindeers on the dining table.
When my mother passed away, I inherited her reindeer. I decided to display them on the dining table, instead of putting them outside of our front door. A different way to decorate them, and the table.
I hope y’all enjoy the blogs. Just want to share with you creative ideas and coming up with different ideas using vignettes to create stories and design creations.
Sending everyone Christmas wishes, and hoping for a New Year of blessings.
