This is my banana bread recipe I’ve always used.
1/2 c butter, softened
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 c sugar
3 bananas, mashed
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c chopped pecans, ( optional), or any nuts you like.
1/3 c cocoa powder
Preheat oven to 350
Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan
Cream butter and sugar, then add the eggs. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Add to the wet ingredients. Add the banana. Fold in the nuts.
In another bowl, add the cocoa powder. Divide the banana mixture in half. Add the half to the cocoa powder and mix till combined.
Then with a scoop or spoons, dollop alternating the banana mixture, then the cocoa mixture into loaf pan. Then swirl the batter with a knife.
Bake for 1 hour
Then let cool before removing from loaf pan.
